Braceface

Today I went and joined the ranks of thousands of teens and kids all over the world. Although I am sure there are as many adults that get their teeth straightened later in life. I am using a patened system called Fastbraces and the Dr. there, Dr. Viazis (pronounced Vee-ah-zee, almost as hard as Stueve!) invented them in 1994 or there abouts. These brackets are supposed to cut appliance time in half. I was told several times that I would experience pain and/or discomfort for about 2 weeks, and I can tell you that since the 800mg Ibuprophine has worn off, I just feel pressure, not nessesarily pain. I told the techs that I have given birth naturally 4 times, so this shouldn’t be too bad. I am partakeing of the wax on the end brackets as the wire is poking my inner lip. I am not too proud to use it. I am smarter than the average teen...well almost!

So, I will update every 7 weeks or so..as I get more work done. I have my second visit on Dec 13, and the doc said he might not put my lower brackets on so I will be comfortable during the holidays. That was nice of him..but I think I might just go ahead and get them on, I think it will help me not gain that dreaded 10 lbs of christmas yule log!
