Dixie Clarisse
**Update**
So I was searching around Petfinder.org and I came across a sweet girl named Mazie. We locked eyes and well several phone calls later and we are making arrangements to pick her up on Friday. I don’t want to jump the gun again like I did with the other dog, but she is near perfect if a dog can be that is. She is a pureblood beagle that was found wandering a country road near Carthage, TX and according to the foster family/human society woman who is taking care of her, she is a gem and very easy going, happy, loving dog. Great with kids, other dogs, and being around people. It’s obvious that whoever lost her, is heartbroken she is gone, because she is very much a wonderful family dog. I am beside myself with joy to have found the perfect girl for me. I have always wanted a beagle and know she will be a great addition to our family. Despite the reservations I have heard from family and friends about the woes of owning a dog, I am so up for the challenge and rewards of dog ownership. Here is a sneak peek of our girl....
We haven’t settled on a name yet, but I like Mazie Day (backwards version of Daisy May) and Jon likes Dixie Clarise. We are open to suggestions! Bubbles? Shasta? Cookie? Snickerdoole? Ginger?
So we almost rescued a dog from the shelter, and were all set to name her Dixie Clarice and make her part of the fmily, but in the end decided that we’d wait to ensure the dog we get is the dog we want…
So until then we’ll adopt a low-maintence variey pet

Ooohhh, I like Ginger. I like names that go with what the dog looks like. Penny was the color of a penny so that’s what she got named. This cutie pie looks the color of Ginger so that’s why it’s getting my vote. Her name could be Ginger Spice Stueve. Her cousin Penny Annie Harms can’t wait to meet her even though she will be the gorgeous, skinny cousin that she will love to hate....

She looks like a Hazelnut to me… we could call her Hazzie…
Or maybe I just need more coffee.

posted by Jon, but written as if Angie is typing....man am I confused. I wonder how long the dog will be nice to Michael with his foot fetish. The 99th time he grabs a foot (or maybe something else) he gets bitten. What was the name of Steve Martin’s dog in “The Jerk”?...oh never mind....
