I’ve given up biting…
For over a year I’ve been blogging under the name Gator, and publishing at GatorBites. I’ve given that up to join my wife, Angie, here at Misplaced Keys.
made this entry sticky for a bit, and moved the rest of the post below the fold, click the ‘more keys’ link to read the rest.
Reasons were many:
- We wanted something we could share, do together as a project. A place where we could explore our life together, in word and as a diary.
- Angie has taken great interest in the story of Allie Scott and her family, especially Jenny’s daily journal. Through Jenny’s journaling there is a shared experience with countless, nameless others.
- Finally, the host for GatorBites suffered a major hardware failure. I had setup the site with Josh Siegel, a friend I met on the internet, and appreciate his willingness to support my blogging habit for free on his server.
I had heard great things about Hosting Matters as a good hosting company, and persuaded Angie that we should start our own account. Wanting to make a clean break we needed a new name, and spent an afternoon just brain-storming. Many names were tossed around, and the one that stuck was Misplaced Keys.
So welcome to our new home together. We’ve opened up a photo gallery and a discussion forum (separate registration required at each place… need to find out how to reconcile all the systems together...), as well as open comments here on the blog. You’ll probably here more family stories, and perhaps some entries from our kids that want to know all about ‘what is a website’, or ‘can I have a dot-com’? I’ll continue to blog a bit about my faith in Jesus Christ, I’m sure Angie will too. I may digress a bit into the political realm, and I always reserve the right to geek out a bit with technology and gadgets.
Peace!

That and the unfamiliar link my referral stats. I click all links that I don’t recognize to see how they found my blog.

I wonder how many others do that...? (I do...)
