On the mend

So I have been ill these last two weeks and my body is finally starting to heal. I actually went to bed BEFORE 1 am last night and didn’t have to use my inhaler before I fell asleep. This is a big deal because I wasn’t sleeping well at all and my house and family was paying the price. If coughing up chunks of matter from your lungs is a good thing, then halleluja, I am feeling fine!

I am taking a trip this week to Corpus Christi to see my bestest girlfriend for her birthday. I will be driving the 450 miles by myself and although I am a big girl and I know I can do it, I am a little nervous. Being the Nelly that I am, I try to prepare myself for the worst and after its all over, I chastise myself for being paranoid. Oh well… it makes for an interesting story once I get back. Pray for safe travel for me and that the roads aren’t too crowded with people traveling back to south Texas after their evactuation north. Probably one of my biggest obsticles will be deciding what I am going to pack to wear while there. It is much more humid and mosquito infested than here, so that will be a challenge, since I burned all my shorts last summer. I wear mostly capri’s even though Trinny and Susanna of the What Not To Wear Crew, say it’s a no no. And besides, I will be there like less than 36 hours anyway, so by my calculations, I should only pack 3 outfits and a swimsuit, but definately 4 pairs of shoes. One to drive in and 3 to look cute in. :D

So....this week Ill spend doing laundry and cleaning up the house, so when I get back, there will be more laundry to do and more cleaning.... You know I do what I can for my family…
I am an honorary “Mum” Mom… and this Thursday, Ill go up to the Mum house and help make Mum orders for the guys and gals who will wear them to homecoming. This is all new for me, we didn’t have that in CA where I went to highschool. I guess it’s a southern thing? Anyone else have one in high school?

    Dear Angie,
I thought that you would like to know that you are not alone.  I have had a cough since mid July and today I started on steriods, to be followed by antibiatics, if this doesn’t kick it.  I have been using an inhaler for about a month without any improvement, so am frustrated.  So, I am encouraged that you are doing better and hoping for the same for me.  Have a good trip to CC--drive carefully.  See you soon
    Love, Kathy
