Tap..Tap..is this thing on?
Hello. I just wanted to stop in, say Hi. It’s been a while since we caught up. Some things are still the same, like my residual cough and malaise, but other things have gone on too. I successfully made it Corpus Christi and back last weekend. I was quite proud of myself for making the drive in the first place, and as I neared familiar scenery, I gained even more confidence.
I had a great time with my girlfriend Michelle and her family. We celebrated her 35th birthday and boy did we party! I think I was one of 2 sober people there....I made sure everyone was safe and had a good time, as I am just talented that way. Heehee.
I learned a lot from being with Michelle. 1) I miss being around them and the everyday friendship we shared. 2) She is so funny! 3) How to make 100 Jello shots and which flavors taste the best together. 4) Not to swim in the pool if you are really drunk, because all the motion of the water can make you throw up over the side! 5) Staying up too late and smoking too much can make you sound like an 80 year old with emphasema. (not that *I* did that a-hem...blush)
Oh and when we weren’t drinking or laughing, she was showing me her monthly dinner menus and I made my own and got all organized and stuff. I even printed out a grocery list last night. It was easier knowing what to buy since I could look at the menu and not have to guess. It will help us save money too because we eat out WAY too often. Like Jon and I have gained at least 10 lbs. eating out this last summer.
So for now, my peeps, I am home and school has started again after fall break. Who thought of fall break? Sheesh, when I was in school, we got Thanksgiving and Christmas off and the next “break” wasn’t until Spring. These crazy Texas schools...oh well...they seemed to have fun and I got to hang out and sleep in! Maybe it’s not so bad after all.
